Biographical Profile - Laurence J. Hagerty
Mr. Hagerty is a management consultant specializing in strategic and organizational counsel to the healthcare and information industries. Most recently, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of The Medstat Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Thomson Corporation and market-leading supplier of databases, software, analytics, and research for improving healthcare cost and quality. In addition to his sixteen years with Medstat, Mr. Hagerty has held a variety of senior executive and managerial positions with Demand Publishing, The Carroll Group, Hoover Universal (now Johnson Controls), Gould, and Arthur Andersen & Co.
Mr. Hagerty received his Bachelors of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1975 and his Masters of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1979. During the past twenty-five years, he has served as a director of numerous for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Hagerty resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife Bonnie and the youngest two of his three children. He is a native of the Washington, DC area.
