Biographical Profile - Tom Clay

Tom Clay is Director of State Affairs for the Citizens Research Council of Michigan.

He joined the Research Council staff in November 1997 after thirty years with the State of Michigan serving as Deputy State Treasurer from 1991 to 1997 and Director of the State's Executive Budget Offices for fifteen years prior to joining the Treasury staff.

He serves as a member of the Governor's Council of Economic Advisors and a gubernatorial appointee on the Local Government Claims Review Board and on the boards of directors of several non-profit organizations in the Lansing area.

He has a Bachelor's degree in economics from Miami University (Ohio) and a Master's degree in economics from Michigan State University.
