Description: Have you noticed that certain populations or regions are regularly on the short end of policy-making decisions? Do the "rules of the game" in your field ever seem to favor a particular "in-group"? Has a colleague ever over-claimed credit for your work? If so, you have gained an understanding of rankism, a concept developed by Dr. Robert Fuller--physicist, former president of Oberlin College, and national expert on diversity organizational issues. To learn more about overcoming rankism through management practices, policies, and personal behavior, attend the first two lectures in the series Leveraging the Power of Diversity: Global and Domestic Perspectives. Dr. Fuller will present "Rankism in Healthcare" on September 25 and "Rankism in Organizations" on September 26.
