Information and Resources

CLOSUP's third component is its information function. The major program in this area is to create and maintain an extensive web site, to serve as a centralized source of information for researchers, students, policy makers, the media, and the public interested in state and local policy. The site provides links (see below) to a wide range of data sources, directories, publications, working papers, organizations, governments, syllabi and other teaching resources, professional news and employment opportunities, and biographies. The site also provides information about ongoing research activities in the area of state and local policy, including the collaborative research projects sponsored by CLOSUP and other U of M projects. The web site helps CLOSUP to both promote the production of new and innovative policy-relevant scholarship and to disseminate that knowledge to policy makers and opinion leaders.
